Working visit by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti

Alain Berset receives Albin Kurti at the Federal Palace for a courtesy visit. Kurti is accompanied by his Minister of Culture, Hajrulla Çeku. The talks cover northern Kosovo and the normalisation with Serbia initiated by the EU.
Berset calls for the implementation of the Brussels and Ohrid agreements, including the Kosovan government’s commitment to grant adequate autonomy to Serb-majority municipalities. Switzerland supports Kosovo’s application to the Council of Europe. It is the second-largest foreign investor in Kosovo; some 180,000 people of Kosovan origin live in Switzerland; Swisscoy is extended until 2026.
