Swiss Art Awards and Prix Meret Oppenheim

Alongside Art Basel, Alain Berset presents the Swiss Art Awards and pays tribute to the winners of the Swiss Grand Award for Art / Prix Meret Oppenheim 2019: the architects Marcel Meili and Markus Peter, the critic Samuel Schellenberg and the artist Shirana Shahbazi.

His speech targets the “Rechthaberei” of the digital age: when everyone is always right, Socratic not-knowing is under threat, and algorithms claim to know the future before it arrives.
