Vaccination campaign: meeting with the cantons, science and manufacturers

Switzerland expects at least eight million doses between April and the end of July. The President of the Confederation, Guy Parmelin, and Alain Berset bring together by videoconference the Conference of Cantonal Health Directors, the President of the Conference of Cantonal Governments, the scientific task force, the Federal Commission for Vaccination and the manufacturers Pfizer and Moderna.

Interim results: 1.25 million doses administered since early January, to vulnerable people first; the situation in nursing homes has eased considerably. The challenge now is speed: the cantons must be ready to vaccinate on a mass scale as soon as deliveries arrive.
