G20 health ministers’ meeting

The Italian presidency invites Switzerland, as in the previous year. The ministers address management of the pandemic, access for all countries to vaccines, tests and treatments, a lasting commitment to pandemic prevention and the effect of the crisis on the 2030 Agenda. Alain Berset defends a strong WHO at the centre of preparedness and response.

On the sidelines, he meets the Italian Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, host of the meeting, and his counterparts from Indonesia, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and India, Mansukh Mandaviya. He holds a press briefing at the embassy and meets Swiss artists at the Istituto Svizzero.
