National Day: inauguration of the Julier theatre
31 July 2017
On the eve of 1 August, Alain Berset inaugurates the wooden tower of the new theatre on the Julier Pass.
He reads it as a metaphor for Switzerland: ten fragile towers which together make one solid one — a “soziales Tragwerk”. “Weltoffenheit ist kein fester Zustand”, but the awareness that the search for identity is never finished.
