Federal Festival of Costume Choirs

For the first time in Ticino, the Federal Festival of Costume Choirs brings together the country’s ensembles in Lugano. Alain Berset speaks in German, Italian and French.

Traditional costumes, he points out, are not folklore: the young federal state of 1848 sought its cultural identity in them, “Einheit in der Vielfalt – und Vielfalt in der Einheit”.
