Swiss Design Awards 2016

During Art Basel, Alain Berset presents the Swiss Design Awards. The Swiss Grand Awards for Design go to the textile designer Claudia Caviezel, the furniture designer Hans Eichenberger and the graphic designer Ralph Schraivogel.
He recalls that the first federal design competition was decided in 1917, in the middle of the war, at the request of L’Œuvre and the Werkbund. And he quotes Jean-Pascal Delamuraz: “Die Schweizer stehen früh auf, aber sie erwachen spät.”
