Swiss Literature Awards: Swiss Grand Awards to Philippe Jaccottet and Paul Nizon
20 February 2014

The Swiss Literature Awards 2014 go to Urs Allemann, David Bosc, Roland Buti, Rose-Marie Pagnard, Matteo Terzaghi, Urs Widmer and Vera Schindler-Wunderlich.
He jokes about the sobriety of the venue: Switzerland mainly knows “Gala” as a cheese spread. Then he makes translation the heart of the country: “Die Schweiz ist ein Land der Übersetzerinnen und Übersetzer – oder sie ist gar nicht.”
