14th Venice Architecture Biennale
6 June 2014 - 7 June 2014
Alain Berset inaugurates the Swiss pavilion at the 14th Architecture Biennale, in the presence of curator Hans Ulrich Obrist. His speech, in the Giardini, summons Lucius Burckhardt, sociologist and planning theorist, and his “science of strolling”.
On 7 June, he opens the Salon Suisse at the Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi, devoted to architecture in 2114, starting from Barjavel’s “Ravage” and its architect “Le Cornemusier”. He holds talks with Dario Franceschini, Italian Minister of Culture, on the cultural property agreement and the Milan Expo 2015, then visits the Austrian and Swiss pavilions with Josef Ostermayer.
