25 years of the Erasmus programme
27 September 2012
Alain Berset celebrates 25 years of the European Erasmus programme, in which Switzerland is then a partner. He places it under the motto of Erasmus: “Die ganze Welt ist ein gemeinsames Vaterland”.
He makes the scholar a “citizen of the world” before the term existed, one who thought beyond his own garden. Since 1987, around three million young Europeans have studied abroad thanks to the programme.
