Coronavirus: first easing on 1 March

After consulting the cantons, the Federal Council decides on a cautious first step. From 1 March, shops, museums and library reading rooms reopen, as do outdoor sports and leisure facilities and the outdoor areas of zoos and botanical gardens. Outdoors, people may again meet in groups of fifteen. Young people up to the age of 20 regain most of their cultural and sports activities.
The logic is one of step-by-step reopening, reserved at first for activities compatible with masks and distancing. The next step is announced for 22 March, if the epidemic allows.
