Alain Berset speaks at the gala dinner of the 11th French-speaking colloquium of the WHO Healthy Cities, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, one of the 90 “healthy cities” of the WHO European network.

He defends the local level: the most important determinants of health are played out first in the city, its urban planning, its schools, its neighbourhoods. European networking strengthens this effort. He pays tribute to a region marked by a “pioneering spirit” and a “love of precision”.
