Inauguration of Le Livre sur les quais

Back from Vienna, Alain Berset inaugurates the sixth edition of Le Livre sur les quais: 160,000 visitors in five years. He covered his office with photos of the lake in order to write, he says, and ended up “fishing out a metaphor”.
The landscape seen from the Morges landing stage is that of Swiss literature: a beautiful expanse bounded by mountains, and writers who gaze at the lake while dreaming of the sea. The Swiss book market is small, divided by language, and authors dream of being published abroad.
