Swiss Literature Awards 2022
25 May 2022
On the eve of the 44th Solothurn Literature Days, Alain Berset presents the Swiss Literature Awards, in their tenth edition, in the presence of Carine Bachmann, the new Director of the Federal Office of Culture. Reto Hänny receives the Swiss Grand Award for Literature; the award winners include Rebecca Gisler, Fabienne Radi, Isabelle Sbrissa, Yari Bernasconi, Ariane Koch, Dana Grigorcea and Christian Kracht.
His speech contrasts the slowness of books with the speed of social media: “Vielleicht verbindet uns ja das einsame, also un-soziale Lesen stärker mit der Welt als die sozialen Medien?”
