Swiss Theatre Awards 2016

At the Théâtre de Carouge, at the opening of the 3rd Swiss Theatre Meeting, the first in French-speaking Switzerland, Alain Berset presents the Swiss Grand Award for Theatre / Hans Reinhart Ring to Theater HORA in Zurich. For 25 years, the company has enabled people with intellectual disabilities to perform at a professional level.

He begins with his own apprehension at facing an audience of theatre people, and quotes Thomas Bernhard on the Austrian minister who once presented him with an award: “A truly indescribable arrogance…” “I really hope that is not how you see me.”
