Celebration for the President-elect of the Confederation in Murten and Fribourg

The canton of Fribourg celebrates its President-elect of the Confederation. A special train from Berne brings some 250 guests, including the President of the National Council, Martin Candinas, and the President of the Council of States, Brigitte Häberli-Koller, to Murten, where Alain Berset speaks about the town’s history. In Fribourg, the procession led by the Landwehr makes its way to the Théâtre Équilibre, where, before more than 600 guests, he gives the speech at the official ceremony: “There is no stability except in movement.” The evening ends at Fri-Son.

Thierry Steiert, Mayor of Fribourg, and Olivier Curty, President of the Fribourg cantonal government, also speak.
