Conference “Young people and racism”
The Federal Commission against Racism brings together more than 270 people at the Wankdorf in Berne to discuss the racism experienced by under-18s: at school, in sport and leisure, in the digital space. Alain Berset opens the day with the Commission’s President, Martine Brunschwig Graf.
The message from the President of the Swiss Confederation: institutions and organisations that deal with children or young people every day must take a critical look at their own structures. Children and young people have the right to grow up without discrimination. Then come Elke-Nicole Kappus (Lucerne University of Teacher Education) on school, Jérôme Berthoud on sport, Stéphane Koch on digital citizenship education: “Today, the school playground extends into the digital space.”
