Official visit to Paris and meeting with Emmanuel Macron
On 11 September, Alain Berset visits the Liberté Living Lab, a Paris start-up hub, then meets OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría at the Château de la Muette: the global economic outlook and transatlantic trade.
On the 12th, he visits the Giacometti Institute, opened in June, and the CENTQUATRE. In the afternoon, an official meeting with Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée. On the agenda: bilateral relations, research, European policy and the state of negotiations on the institutional agreement, the consequences of Brexit. In the Middle East, Switzerland, protecting power for Iran and Saudi Arabia, argues for confidence-building measures. The Sahel, North Korea, world trade and La Francophonie complete the talks, with International Geneva as the French-speaking hub of the UN.
