A thousand years of Basel Minster
10 October 2019
Alain Berset speaks at the celebration of the thousandth anniversary of Basel Minster, richly endowed in the 11th century by Emperor Henry II.
He opens with the comparative height of the Basel and Zurich minsters, then turns to what a building says when it has been changing for a thousand years while remaining a constant for the city. His title: “Wider die Vorurteile über unsere eigene Zeit”.
