Swiss Music Awards: Grand Award to Erika Stucky
17 September 2020
In Lausanne, Alain Berset presents the Swiss Music Awards; the Grand Award goes to the singer and performer Erika Stucky. He greets the “friends of jazz and yodel, friends of the accordion and the shovel”.
He lists dates that marked the history of music, from Mozart’s first symphony in The Hague to the first jazz record in Chicago and the fire at the Montreux casino during Frank Zappa’s concert, and adds that of the evening.
