Culture summit at the Alpine Museum

At the Alpine Museum, Alain Berset brings together parliamentarians and cultural players on the coronavirus crisis and the Culture Dispatch 2021-2024. Why the Alps? “In Zeiten der Verunsicherung suchen wir Halt bei den Alpen.” And can the Réduit be aired? The FOPH is looking into it, he jokes.

Then the figures: according to a Federal Office of Culture survey from late August, 42% of respondents will wait until next year to return to a cultural event, against 22% in June; 55% want to cut their cultural spending. Without culture experienced together, he says, life is “eintöniger, atomisierter, entfremdeter. Kurz: schlechter”.
