Working visit to Liechtenstein and Entrepreneurs’ Day

30 March 2015

Alain Berset signs with Aurelia Frick, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Education and Culture, a declaration of intent opening the “Youth and Music” programme to children and young people in Liechtenstein. He is received by the Head of Government, Adrian Hasler (strong franc, economic challenges), and by Hereditary Prince Alois (healthcare system, retirement provision).

At the lunch given by Mauro Pedrazzini, Minister of Social Affairs: trends in health costs, OASI reform, reconciling family and work. In his table speech, he notes that new satellite measurements have reduced the area of Liechtenstein by 0.1 hectare, and lengthened the distance between Vaduz and Berne by 50 centimetres.

In the afternoon, at the Liechtenstein Entrepreneurs’ Day, he presents ageing as an opportunity for countries that were “einst arm” and have become, through their pragmatism, among the most prosperous in the world.
