Solothurn Film Festival: Swiss Film Award nominations night

Together with Christian Frei, President of the Swiss Film Academy, Alain Berset opens the nominations night for the Swiss Film Award “Quartz 2012” at the Solothurn Film Festival. 33 nominees share nine categories.

His message to the industry: “Die Zeit der Grabenkämpfe in der Filmbranche ist – vorerst – vorbei.” The new film funding schemes for 2012–2015 must prove themselves; he finds the “Kunst gegen Kommerz” debate “steril und veraltet”.
