Sixth Swiss Nutrition Report and Swiss Nutrition Strategy 2013–2016

Alain Berset presents the 6th Swiss Nutrition Report and the nutrition strategy derived from it. The finding: the population knows the recommendations but does not follow them. It eats as many calories as thirty years ago and moves less. Meals eaten out and ready-made dishes are gaining ground, too fatty, too salty, too sweet.
The strategy relies on the framework rather than on injunctions: clear labelling, access to balanced meals, cooperation between business, agriculture and the cantons. Three months later, before Migros, he will take up these figures again to describe “two societies” in their relationship to food.
