Chaillot Forum: the future of culture and of Europe
Alain Berset takes part in the Chaillot Forum, “Future of culture, future of Europe”, opened by François Hollande. The European culture ministers discuss digital technology, copyright, cultural diversity and the financing of creative work. “In Switzerland we are preparing our Culture Message 2016–2019. It is very interesting to see that most European countries have concerns very similar to ours.”
With Aurélie Filippetti, Minister of Culture and Communication, he returns to the consequences of 9 February: “Participation in the European MEDIA programme supporting cinema is compromised for 2014, but we want to find a solution for 2015.” With Abdou Diouf, Secretary General of the Francophonie, he discusses the Languages Act and the defence of French.
