Managed care: launch of the referendum campaign

Alain Berset opens the campaign for the revision of the Health Insurance Act on integrated care networks (managed care), put to the people on 17 June. He presents it with Carlo Conti, President of the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Health Directors, and its Vice-President, Philippe Perrenoud.
The Federal Council and Parliament recommend a yes. The argument: networks of doctors and carers who follow the patient throughout the treatment improve the quality and safety of care and curb rising costs. It is the first vote the new head of the FDHA defends.
