Meeting of German-speaking ministers of culture
At the invitation of Luxembourg’s Minister of Culture, Sam Tanson, the ministers of culture of the German-speaking countries and regions meet in Luxembourg: Germany with Claudia Roth, Austria with Andrea Mayer, Liechtenstein with Manuel Frick, the German-speaking Community of Belgium with Isabelle Weykmans, and Switzerland with Alain Berset. Working session at the Ministry of Culture, round table on the situation in each country.
Alain Berset then has a one-to-one meeting with Prime Minister Xavier Bettel. He is received in audience by Grand Duke Henri at the Grand Ducal Palace, then joins the ministers at Mudam, the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art, to visit the exhibition “Face-à-face”.
The ministers discuss the ecological transition in culture: energy adaptations, sustainable development of built heritage, environmentally responsible cultural activities. On the sidelines of the meeting, Sam Tanson signs the Davos Baukultur Alliance, launched by Switzerland in January, on behalf of Luxembourg.
