Meeting of the German-speaking health ministers

21 August 2014 - 22 August 2014

At the Kleine Scheidegg, facing the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau, Alain Berset hosts the “health quintet”: Hermann Gröhe (Germany), Alois Stöger (Austria), Lydia Mutsch (Luxembourg) and Mauro Pedrazzini (Liechtenstein). It is the second meeting, after Münster in 2013, and the first with five participants.

The ministers discuss quality and patient safety: in Switzerland, some 70,000 hospital patients a year contract a hospital-acquired infection. They also discuss dementia care. Their final declaration provides for stronger exchanges.
