National Dialogue on Social Policy: women and the labour market

At the National Dialogue on Social Policy of the Conference of Cantonal Directors of Social Affairs, Alain Berset speaks about the shortage of skilled workers and about reconciling work and family life.

He opens with a finding from neuroscience: strategic tasks call on the same regions of the brain as looking after children. Good managers therefore have what it takes to be good fathers, and vice versa: “Mütter haben die besten Voraussetzungen dafür, gute Manager zu sein.”
