Opening of the 29th International Book and Press Fair
29 April 2015
Alain Berset opens the Geneva Book Fair at Palexpo (29 April – 3 May). He begins with a provocation: “I sincerely believe that the book has had its day”, since Twitter and its 140 characters are enough to say profound things.
The rest of the speech dismantles this opening and defends the book and the written press.
