Switzerland Tourism’s Swiss Holiday Day
12 April 2022
In Arosa, Alain Berset gives the welcome address at the Swiss Holiday Day, which brings together more than a thousand tourism professionals in the ice rink. He is welcomed by Martin Nydegger, CEO of Switzerland Tourism, and Brigitta M. Gadient, its President.
He paints the picture of a difficult year: after two years of pandemic, the war in Ukraine, inflation and the strong franc are weighing on international demand. He is counting on domestic tourism: during the pandemic, “die Menschen in der Schweiz haben die Schweiz entdeckt”.
