Mondiacult 2022, UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies

28 September 2022 - 1 October 2022

Forty years after the first conference in Mexico City, Alain Berset represents Switzerland at Mondiacult 2022. He speaks in the session “Renewed and strengthened cultural policies”: universal application of the cultural conventions, cultural diversity, freedom of expression, fair remuneration for artists. He announces the second ministerial conference on building culture (Baukultur), in Davos in January 2023.

On 30 September, 150 states adopt a declaration that makes culture a “global public good”. On the sidelines: meetings with several ministers of culture, a lecture at the Matías Romero Institute and the inauguration of an exhibition by Ben Vautier.
