67th Locarno Film Festival
6 August 2014 - 9 August 2014
Alain Berset opens the 67th Festival at the town’s reception, alongside Mayor Carla Speziali, President Marco Solari and Artistic Director Carlo Chatrian. He issues a warning there: a few months before the Milan Expo, “it would be highly regrettable if Ticino did not take part”.
On 7 August, before the press, he presents the main lines of the Culture Message 2016–2019, cultural participation, social cohesion, creation and innovation, as well as the compensatory measures for the MEDIA programme, to which the Federal Council wants to be readmitted as soon as possible. On 8 August, he speaks at the Monte Verità lunch in Ascona, then at the gala of the Leopard Club, the festival’s circle of patrons.
