Fondation Beyeler: opening of the Gerhard Richter exhibition
17 May 2014
At the Fondation Beyeler, Alain Berset opens the exhibition “Gerhard Richter: Pictures/Series”. He starts with a difficulty: two things annoy Richter, being told that his work is wonderful, and talk about painting.
His speech, “Gerhard Richter – Offenheit als Identität”, makes the openness and variety of the work a form of identity.
